Charlie Allen

Project Coordinator

Charlie is an experienced offshore surveyor and has spent his career in the oil and gas industry and working on renewable energy projects across Europe. He is a marine scientist with a BSc in Surf Science and Technology, and MSc in Hydrography. Charlie also holds project management qualifications.

Jaime Bohata

Logistics Manager

Jaime now works for DP Energy and has over 25 years’ experience in civil engineering construction and project management, including senior positions with Laing O’Rourke, Skanska and Buckingham Group. More recently he worked with Tidal Lagoon Power as a Civil Engineer and Assistant Project Manager where he gained planning experience.

Jamie is a Welsh speaker and his role in the Gwynt Glas project is focused on engineering and logistics and he leads on assessing the constructability and operability of floating wind turbine structures.

Ffion Davies

External Affairs Manager, Wales

Ffion is the External Affairs Manager for the Gwynt Glas project, having worked as a communications professional in the renewable energy sector for over a decade. Ffion has previously worked as the Corporate Affairs Manager for Associated British Ports and as the Senior Public Relations Officer for RWE.

Claire Gilchrist

Project Manager

Claire has specialist experience of the offshore renewables sector, having worked on EDF Renewables’ Neart na Gaoithe offshore wind farm from development through to construction. She sits on a number of specialist groups the OTNR Environmental Action Group and is involved in a benthic ecology research project. She is a member of the Fisheries Liaison with Offshore Wind and Wet Renewables (FLOWW) Group.

Heather Hamilton

Consenting Lead

Heather works at EDF Renewables, and she has over 5 years of consenting and environmental experience in the offshore renewables industry, having worked on projects throughout the UK and Ireland from site selection, through to EIA and application and on to post consent compliance. Before joining EDF Renewables Heather was involved in the creation of the Offshore Wind Strategic Monitoring and Research Forum (OWSMRF).

Heather’s role in the Gwynt Glas project is as the EIA Lead and she is leading on the Environmental Impact Assessment work.

Mark Hazelton

Project Director

Project Director. Mark brings a wealth of experience working in a range of development, planning and policy roles within the offshore wind industry. He has worked at The Crown Estate, managers of the seabed, and the Marine Management Organisation, UK marine licensing authority, before joining EDF Renewables UK where he has led the development of a range of wind farm projects and development opportunities.

Bethan Morgan

Welsh Consents Lead

Bethan works at DP Energy and has considerable experience of consenting and stakeholder management. She was Project Manager for the Marine Energy Test Area in Pembrokeshire and managed the leasing process with The Crown Estate. She is a graduate of Swansea University and holds project management qualifications.

Rob Morris

Strategic Bid Manager

Rob is Strategic Bid Manager at EDF Renewables UK & Ireland, where he focuses on offshore wind leasing opportunities and routes to market. He previously led EDFR’s Strategy team, supporting long-term business growth across multiple technologies. Before joining EDF Renewables, Rob worked for Wood Mackenzie, a leading global energy consultancy.

Martin Murphy

Supply Chain Liaison

Martin is a board member of Pembrokeshire Coast Forum, chairing the Marine Energy Wales Forum. Martin served as a Marine Engineering Officer in the Royal Navy for 12 years and has since worked in management on a wide range of energy projects.

Julia Okooza

Cost Control Lead

Julia is an experienced project controls engineer for EDF Renewables specialising in planning, scheduling, cost estimating and cost control. She worked in the oil and gas industry before switching to renewables, and spent time on the Dolphyn Project.

Lee Watt

Innovation Manager

Lee is an experienced project manager with over sixteen years in the energy industry, during which time he has been involved in onshore wind projects with a combined capacity of over 1 GW. His university studies are directly related to the work he’s doing at Gwynt Glas, and he has a BSc Coastal Zone Management and Marine Environment Studies and  an MSc in Renewable Energy and Resource Management.

Chris Williams

Strategic Delivery Manager

Chris is a Chartered Civil Engineer with 30 years’ experience delivering commercial renewable energy and engineering projects.  He joined DP Energy in 2021.  Career highlights are many, and include working on the 32km sea defence scheme at Caldicot Levels, the UK’s largest low head hydro project at Beeston Weir on the River Trent, and the 50MW Mynydd y Betws Wind Farm in south Wales. He led the development of DeltaStream technology and the test site at Ramsey Sound and secured £13.5m for Bombora to build a prototype 1.5MW wave energy converter.

Ffion Wright

Stakeholder and Comms Manager

Ffion has over 20 years of marketing experience across a number of diverse sectors. She came into the renewables industry in 2019, joining Bombora, where she managed marketing, communications and stakeholder activity. More recently Ffion led on all the communications activity with strategic partners Technip FMC and Mitsui OSK Lines.

Ffion is a fluent Welsh speaker and her role in the Gwynt Glas project is Stakeholder and Communications Manager, leading the project’s communications and consultations as well as community and stakeholder engagement.
